Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry and prosthetics are areas of dentistry that concentrate on restoring a patient’s mouth to an increased state of health and function, all the while allowing for comfort and esthetics.

The status of the patient’s oral health and the complexity of the treatment vary greatly. A patient’s expectation regarding crowns, bridges, or removable prosthetics, as to how they look and feel needs to be discussed and understood prior to commencing treatment. This avoids disappointment and unmet expectations by the patient.
